Organizational Development Specialist- Employee Experience

Full Time, 80 Hours Per Pay Period, Day Shift

Position Summary:

The Organizational Development Specialist – Employee Experience is responsible for designing, leading, and continuously improving programs across the Covenant Health enterprise that enhance the overall employee experience while ensuring successful adoption of complex change initiatives. The role leverages organizational development practices, change management methodologies, employee insights, and data-driven decision-making to strengthen employee satisfaction, productivity, retention, and organizational effectiveness.

Responsibilities

  • Lead cross-functional organizational development initiatives that strengthen culture, collaboration, and organizational effectiveness from design through implementation and evaluation.
  • Establish project plans, governance structures, communication strategies, and success metrics.
  • Coordinate stakeholders across the enterprise and business functions.
  • Manage budgets, timelines, resources, and vendor relationships as needed.
  • Build strong relationships across the organization to drive alignment and adoption.
  • Influence decision-making through data, insights, and strategic recommendations.
  • Foster collaboration among stakeholders to ensure consistent employee experience.
  • Analyze data to identify trends related to engagement and retention.
  • Reinforce behaviors that align with employee experience and quality outcomes
  • Lead structured change management initiatives, measure adoption of change initiatives and identify barriers to change and implement mitigation strategies
  • Develop communication strategies to support change adoption across diverse healthcare audiences.
  • Follows policies, procedures, and safety standards. Completes required education assignments annually. Works toward achieving goals and objectives and participates in quality improvement initiatives as requested.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

Minimum Education:          

Bachelor’s degree required in Business, Human Resources, Organizational Development or related discipline.

 

Minimum Experience:         

3–5+ years of experience in human resources, organizational development or change management. Experience supporting clinical teams or healthcare leadership. Knowledge of healthcare regulations (e.g., Joint Commission, CMS standards).

 

Licensure Requirement:      

Employee must have a valid Tennessee driver’s license and state mandated minimum insurance coverage. Driving record must meet Covenant Health minimum standards at the date of hire and throughout employment tenure.
