Application Analyst Associate

Full Time, 80 Hours Per Pay Period, Day Shift

Position Summary:

Under general supervision, responsible for defining, implementing, and supporting software applications, and interfacing with end-users and other IT groups to identify and resolve application issues.

Responsibilities

  • Act as interface between the user, vendor, and systems programming and operations.
  • Build and maintain application master files, tables and parameters.
  • Ensure that IT applications are functional, available, and meet organization standards and end-user requirements. This includes testing software to ensure proper operation and freedom from defects and verification that software functionality meets vendors and/or internal documentation.
  • Determine root cause of application problems, coordinate solutions among appropriate teams, and document resolution. Interact with vendor support to troubleshoot and repair defects in the current product releases.
  • Research system inquiries and provide feedback to application users.
  • Maintain list of application users and any data critical to their application operation.
  • Perform procedures necessary to ensure the safety of information systems assets and to protect systems from intentional or inadvertent access or destruction. Conduct accurate evaluation of the level of security required.
  • Provide routine and ad-hoc reports as needed.
  • Monitor and control systems in a client/server environment in accordance with established routines.
  • Assist in determining equipment settings and operating instructions and maintaining operating records.
  • Assist with personal computer operating systems software and communication system software. Analyze and solve personal computer-related problems following technical environment setup guidelines.
  • Perform research/investigation, analysis, design, testing, and installation of supported hardware and software. Monitor performance of hardware and its capacity in all assigned locations.
  • Other duties/projects as assigned.

Qualifications

Minimum Education:           

AS in computer-related field or equivalent combination of education and experience

 

Minimum Experience:         

Minimum of three (3) years Information Systems or three (3) years relevant functional area. Requires demonstrated understanding of technical computer operations in a client/server environment (for assigned applications).

 

Licensure Requirement:      

Professional/clinical licensure (RN, ARRT, etc.) may be required based on assigned applications.
