Program Manager, Cardiology Services

Full Time, 80 Hours Per Pay Period, Day Shifts

Position Summary: 

Responsible for leading the design, implementation, and evaluation of system-wide quality improvement programs for cardiology and cardiovascular surgery across Covenant Health. This role collaborates in building and maintaining a standardized Heart Quality framework, focusing on evidence-based practices, performance improvement, registry operations, and regulatory readiness. The Coordinator partners with system and facility leadership to reduce variation, optimize outcomes, and advance the quality and safety of heart care across the enterprise.

Responsibilities

  • Collaboration in design and maintenance of a Heart Quality framework.
  • Analyze operational procedures to identify inefficiencies and prioritize improvement.
  • Develop and implement benchmarks and performance measures for cardiology and CV surgery competing with national benchmarks.
  • Lead multidisciplinary root-cause analyses and develop corrective action plans.
  • Prepare for certification/accreditation activities and maintain regulatory readiness.
  • Facilitate training for clinicians and leaders on Heart quality protocols and documentation.
  • Collaborate with Quality and Analytics for registry and CMS data submission.
  • Collaborate across disciplines to establish and evaluate goals for improving Heart care outcomes.
  • Lead system and facility performance improvement initiatives using Lean and evidence-based methods.
  • Follows policies, procedures, and safety standards. Completes required education assignments annually.  Works toward achieving goals and objectives, and participates in quality improvement initiatives as requested. 
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

Minimum Education:

Associate degree in nursing and license and/or certification as required by the issuing authority. 

 

Minimum Experience:

Three (3) years’ experience in quality improvement, clinical leadership, or performance analytics with at least one (1) year in Cardiology services.

 

Licensure Requirement:      

Must have current and maintained Tennessee RN nursing license.
