Position Summary:
The Student Medical Assistant – Certification Track supports physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals in delivering high-quality patient care. This position is designed for individuals who are currently enrolled in a medical assistant training program (CMA, CCMA, RMA, or equivalent) or will be enrolled in the employer provided certified medical assistant training program. The non-certified Medical Assistant performs basic clinical and administrative duties while gaining the skills and experience needed to achieve full certification.
Minimum Education:
None specified; will accept any combination of formal education and/or prior work experience sufficient to demonstrate possession of the knowledge, skill and ability needed to perform the essential tasks of the job, typically such as would be equivalent to a high school diploma or GED. Preference may be given to individuals possessing a high school diploma or GED.
Minimum Experience:
None required; prior healthcare experience is preferred but not required.
Licensure Requirement:
Accepted Medical Assistant Certification is required within 9 months of hire. Employees hired into the Employer provided certified medical assistant training program will be required to sign a 12-month work agreement from date of certification and associated repayment agreement.
