Job Objectives: Provide diagnostic cardiac ultrasound imaging.
Education/Knowledge/Skills:
Must be a graduate of an accredited school of Medical Sonography, Radiologic Technologic or Respiratory Therapy or have experience qualifications that meet requirements for registry from the American Registry of Diagnostic Medical Sonographers (ARDMS).
Knowledge of the bio-psychosocial needs of adult, geriatric and pediatric patients is essential. Special knowledge is required in growth and development needs of pediatric/geriatric patients where applicable.
Experience:
One year of clinical experience in the primary area of assignment is preferred.
Licensure/Certifications:
Must hold current registration or have documentation of re-application for registration as a diagnostic cardiac sonographer technologist with the American Registry of Diagnostic Medical Sonographers, or CCI registry-level credential. Must be certified in cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR) or be recertified during the orientation period.
