Full-Time, 80 Hours per pay period, Day Shift

Position Summary:

The Enterprise Architect Specialist is responsible for establishing direction of IT technology and security architecture aimed at keeping the organization on the forefront of change. Dispenses technical advice, guidance, direction, and authorization to carry out major plans and procedures.

 

Leads complex projects and ensures the success of enterprise-level application rollouts. Determines and develops architectural approaches and solutions, conducts business reviews, documents current systems, and develops recommendations of how to proceed with the applications. May contribute in the planning of the overall organizational IT strategy.

Responsibilities

  • Translates business needs into information management solutions and designs hardware, software and network components as part of a comprehensive solution.

  • Coordinates the design, development, marketing, and maintenance of technology projects or product lines.
  •  
  • Reviews and provides recommendations to IT technology decisions across enterprise.
  •  
  • Leads product options analysis and selection that will evolve the organization's technical infrastructure.
  •  
  • Analyzes new technologies, leads competitive analyses, and provides written recommendations.
  •  
  • Dispenses technical advice, guidance, direction, authorization, and written proposals / plans to carry out major plans and procedures.

  • Analyzes new technologies, runs competitive analyses, and provides written recommendations.

  • Acts in a vendor management role when necessary to meet accountability requirements for security, performance, or other technical requirements.

  • Promotes the interfacing and control of the organization's present technology and the dissemination of technological information throughout the organization.

  • Analyze purchased technical systems, hardware and software, or the internal design and development of hardware and software systems.
  •  
  • Provides written technical guidance to project teams.
  •  
  • Recommends and takes action to lead the analysis, solutions, and documentation of problems.
  •  
  • Provides input to establish and implement policies, procedures, and standards and ensures their conformance with IT goals.
  •  
  • Maintains currency in new developments, technology, and security.
  •  
  • Works with IT management to assess technical needs / planning and to identify areas for process improvement, increased customer satisfaction, and other IT strategic initiatives.
  •  
  • Provides input to policy level direction regarding standards and budget constraints.
  •  
  • Local travel required.
  •  
  • Other duties/projects as assigned.

Qualifications

Minimum Education:           

Bachelor's degree in business administration, computer science, or information management. Alternatively, related field, equivalent work experience, and or certification will be considered.

                       

Minimum Experience:         

A minimum of fourteen (14) years of increasing responsibility in related IT work experience is required.  Experience in a Healthcare setting is preferred. Demonstrated customer service and communication skills. Leadership and IT project management experience required.   Must maintain highest level of technical expertise.

 

Licensure Requirement:      

Employee must have a valid Tennessee driver’s license Class D and state mandated minimum insurance coverage. Driving record must meet Covenant Health minimum standards at the date of hire and throughout employment tenure.
