Senior Project Manager , IT

Full-Time, 80 Hours per pay period, Day Shift

 

Position Summary:

This position is responsible for the operations of Information Technology and Informatics Project Management.

Responsibilities

  • . Serves as lead support project manager for the following:
  • eCare upgrades
  • Downtime and surge planning
  • IT builds for facility expansion
  • IT builds for facility acquisition
  • eCare optimization and new functionality
  • Serves as the primary project manager / facilitator for the Clinical Content Oversight Committee (CCOT).
  • Responsible for implementations of installations and upgrades of systems.
  • Responsible for establishing project plans and change control models for areas listed above.
  • Coordinates ongoing audits and updates for Project Management Office (PMO) related documents and models.
  • Evaluates vendor proposals for purchases of hardware, software, and technical services to assure adherence to technical specifications.
  • Consults with personnel in other IT sections to coordinate activities.
  • Provides support and back-up to Applications staff.
  • Conducts demonstrations of systems and presentations of data as needed.
  • Stays current on PMBOK standards and implements into IT operations.
  •  Establishes and maintains exemplary communications and working relationships with the other members of the Covenant Health Management team.
  • Follows policies, procedures, and safety standards. Completes required education assignments annually. Works toward achieving goals and objectives, and participates in quality improvement initiatives as requested.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

 

Qualifications

Minimum Education:          

Master of Business Administration or Master’s Degree in Health Service Administration

 

Minimum Experience:         

Four (4) years management and leadership experience in a healthcare related profession. Experience in regulatory review, utilization review, quality assurance, and CQI operations desirable. Experience in building consensus and effectively communicating with physicians, executive management, and other high level professionals required. Familiarity with microcomputers is mandatory.
