Communications Operator
Part Time, 48 Hours Per Pay Period, Variable Shifts

JOB OBJECTIVES:
Operate hospital's telecommunications systems. Provide rapid, accurate, and courteous handling of all calls.

EDUCATION/KNOWLEDGE/SKILLS:
A high school diploma or its equivalent is required. Must be able to read with comprehension and write legibly. Must be proficient in use of proper grammar. Must be able to operate switchboard and intercommunications systems and be familiar with location and functions of various departments. Must have a pleasant telephone voice and manner.
EXPERIENCE:
Six months' experience as a switchboard operator is preferred.
LICENSURE/CERTIFICATIONS:
None is required.
