Peer Support Services Coordinator, Drop in Center

Full Time, 80 Hours Per Pay Period, Day Shift

Position Summary:

Responsible for developing programming and coordinating training for the Peer Support Centers. Assists the Recovery Services Manager in planning for effective service delivery in accordance with agency policies and contractual agreement.  Provides training services to mental health consumers.  Takes a lead role in connecting community and training services to the population assigned.

Responsibilities

  • Provides support for programming and coverage for the Peer Support Centers.
  • Monitors service volumes to ensure compliance with grant requirements.
  • Assists Recovery Services Manager in preparing reports and corrective action plans ensuring compliance with contractual agreements and regulatory agencies.
  • Provides WRAP and Peer Recovery Specialists training services.
  • Acquires and maintains community contacts which will serve as client and/or program resources.
  • Serves as a resource in the community through attending appropriate meetings.
  • Provides orientation and training for new Peer Support Center staff.
  • Monitors new trends in patient directed care and assists in developing new and innovative programming.
  • Assists in development of policies and procedures as needed.
  • Follows policies, procedures, and safety standards. Works toward achieving goals and objectives, and participates in quality improvement initiatives as requested.
  • Other duties as assigned and trained for.

Qualifications

Minimum Education:           

None specified; however, must be sufficient to meet the standards for achievement of the below indicated license and/or certification as required by the issuing authority.

 

Minimum Experience:         

Five (5) years in providing recovery education services.

 

Licensure Requirement:      

Certified WRAP Facilitator. Certified Peer Recover Specialist.
