Position Summary:

Properly distributes clean linen and collects soiled linen. Does general laundry and housekeeping maintenance in specified patient care areas. Follow safety instructions and procedures concerning use of laundry carts, chemical use and equipment.

• Addresses employees and visitors in a pleasant manner.
• Assists in maintaining a safe environment for all residents which may include reporting to appropriate managerial staff equipment that is out of order, suspicion of resident abuse, mistreatment, neglect and reporting of criminal activities.

Minimum Education:           

None specified; will accept any combination of formal education and/or prior work experience sufficient to demonstrate possession of the knowledge, skill and ability needed to perform the essential tasks of the job, typically such as would be equivalent to a high school diploma or GED. Preference may be given to individuals possessing a HS diploma or GED.
