Cumberland Medical Center is a 189-bed hospital in Crossville, Tennessee, with more than 650 employees and 175 active physicians. It offers a full range of specialty services, including cardiology, gastroenterology, surgery, orthopedics, maternity services, cancer care, and advanced wound care.
Fully accredited by the Joint Commission, Cumberland Medical Center is an acute care hospital offering all private patient rooms as well as specialized services not usually found in the rural medical system.
For seriously ill patients, advanced medical and surgical care is provided at CMC including telemetry monitored beds and an intensive care unit. Additionally, Cumberland Medical Center offers an outpatient imaging center, same day surgery unit, cardiac and pulmonary rehab programs, a sleep disorder center, breast center, cancer center, and hyperbaric medicine and wound center.

Position Summary:
Functions as a specialized direct patient caregiver in the Emergency Department, performing tasks to assist nurses and providers. Performs hands-on care, specified technical tasks, and coordinates communications on the unit. Good computer skills and people skills. Able to multitask.

Minimum Education:
None specified; however, must be sufficient to meet the standards for achievement of the below indicated license and/or certification as required by the issuing authority. High school diploma strongly preferred.
Minimum Experience:
One (1) years’ experience as an EMT, HUC, LPN, MA, or PCA/CNA OR must meet licensure requirement below.
Licensure Requirement:
CPR required. If less than one (1) years’ experience, must have current EMT registry or license, LPN, MA, or CNA certification at time of hire/promotion or be a student in an accredited nursing education program. Student must have successfully completed fundamental clinical skills portion of the program (1st semester of clinicals).
