Clinical Resource Nurse, Pulmonary-Complex Medical Unit
Full Time, 72 Hours Per Pay Period, Day shift
Department Overview:
In our Complex Medical Unit, we have 34 private patient rooms. We are located on the seventh floor in the North tower of the main hospital.
The Complex Medical Unit is comprised of a wide variety of medically complex patients. Many of our patients are acutely ill and require a higher level of care than your average medical floor, but do not meet the need to be in a stepdown/ICU unit. Patients can include:

We follow a 12- hour shift, weekends/holidays on a six-week schedule. Team members utilize a self-scheduling software. Position Summary:
The Clinical Resource Nurse is a registered professional nurse who demonstrates expertise in a specific area of clinical nursing. A selected patient population is the focus of practice. The CRN position is based on the needs of the patient and the health care system, and the expertise of the CRN. The CRN, in collaboration with the Nurse Manager, is a resource agent in pursuit of improved nursing practice and improved patient outcomes, focusing on the novice and intermediate level RNs. The scope of practice encompasses the use of the nursing process in major areas: practice and education.

Minimum Education:
None specified; however, must be sufficient to meet the standards for achievement of the below indicated license and/or certification as required by the issuing authority.
Minimum Experience:
Minimum of five (5) years of overall professional-level Nursing experience; minimum of three (3) years in Labor and Delivery setting.
Licensure Requirement:
Active licensure from the State of Tennessee as a Registered Nurse. Obtains Professional Certification in Inpatient Obstetric Nursing or equivalent specialty certification within 12 months of hire into role.
