Position Summary:
Under the direction of the Safety Director, is responsible for coordinating the activities of the Dispatchers, through documenting and dispatching all incoming calls. Provides leadership and direction for the Dispatchers and assists in ensuring compliance with all policies and procedures relating to security.

Minimum Education:
None specified; will accept any combination of formal education and/or prior work experience sufficient to demonstrate possession of the knowledge, skill and ability needed to perform the essential tasks of the job, typically such as would be equivalent to a high school diploma or GED. Preference may be given to individuals possessing a HS diploma or GED.
Minimum Experience:
Must be 18 years of age or older.
Ability to answer multi-line telephone. Dispatch hospital resources (security, engineering, shuttles, and emergency mgmt.) to calls for service at on and off campus locations by a multi-channel two way radio PC Console system. Knowledge of Microsoft Office, Libra Office and SharePoint. Use web based facility work order system. Use of vendor software to monitor the facility electronic entry / exit door locking system. Ability to enroll and delete users from the electronic entry / exit door locking system. Monitor Duress, Presence and Code Blue devices for visual and audible notification â requiring the appropriate responder to be notified. Respond to visual and audible notification system for Fire Alarm, Generator, and Medical Gas System. Make Overhead Public Address Announcements providing specific instructions in a clear voice throughout the campus. Use text messaging software to send facility wide alert notification. The dispatcher provides direction to callers by transferring calls to patient rooms or hospital departments. Individual will be required to pass a qualification class to function as a Remote Monitoring Attendant for the facility boiler system.
