Full-Time, 80 hours per pay period, Day shift

Requires weekday and weekend call rotation

Position Summary:

Coordinates daily work flow for special procedure area.

Responsibilities

  • Assigns and supervises daily work flow in areas assigned.
  • Assigns and modifies daily job assignments of staff.
  • Orients new technologists.
  • Orders supplies and stock for imaging departments.
  • Performs quality control as needed.
  • Remains mentally alert and maintains concentration with attention to detail for prolonged periods, at times under stress. Maintains adaptability, flexibility, initiative, persistence, and efficiency of time management and action.
  • Does not pose a direct threat to health or safety of self or others. Provides safe, efficient, competent care to population assigned. Meets MMC Environment of Care Standards.
  • Follows policies, procedures, and safety standards. Completes required education assignments annually. Works toward achieving goals and objectives, and participates in quality improvement initiatives as requested.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

Minimum Education:

None specified; however, must be sufficient to meet the standards for achievement of the below indicated license and/or certification as required by the issuing authority.

 

Minimum Experience:

A minimum of three (3) years of experience in an imaging department and three (3) years of clinical experience in an advanced modality such as Ultrasound, CT, MRI, Nuclear Medicine, or Interventional Radiology if primarily assigned to supervise a specific specialized cost center within the Imaging umbrella of departments.

 

Licensure Requirements:

Must be currently registered as a Radiologic Technologist by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT).  If primarily supervising staff in a specialty modality, must have passed an advanced level exam in Ultrasound, CT, MRI, Nuclear Medicine, or Interventional Radiology.  Must be currently certified (or scheduled for certification or recertification training according to department guidelines) in cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR). BLS certification
