$15,000 Sign-on Bonus for experienced RNs

Full Time, 80 Hours Per Pay Period, Day Shift

Call required one night per week and every fourth weekend.

Call response time is 30 minutes. Hours M-F 7-3:30.

Department Overview:

Our staffing mix includes RNs, LPNs, CNAs and HUCs. Our multi-disciplinary team of doctors, nurses, therapists, nutritionists, case managers and direct care staff meet daily to discuss patient's conditions and progress toward their discharge plan. We serve a rapidly growing community with a wide age range. Our staff involves family in the care of the patient through participation and education of the patient`s medical condition. We are committed to providing excellent patient care and an exceptional practice environment for our staff.

 

Position Summary: 

Provides professional nursing care within an assigned unit; coordinates care planning with other disciplines.

Responsibilities

  • Correlates patient history and support systems within hospital care.
  • Assess learning needs of patient and family.
  • Develops and initiates teaching plan, involving patient and family.
  • Recommends interventions.
  • Evaluates plan of care.
  • Resolves problems regarding less complex issues without oversight or supervision.
  • Member of established active hospital committee or subcommittee with 75% participation in meetings.
  • Demonstrates willingness to precept new employees/students as directed.
  • Follows policies, procedures, and safety standards. Completes required education assignments annually. Works toward achieving goals and objectives, and participates in quality improvement initiatives as requested.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned or requested.

Qualifications

Minimum Education

None specified; however, must be sufficient to meet the standards for achievement of the below indicated license and/or certification as required by the issuing authority.

 

Minimum Experience:

Must possess at least one (1) year of professional experience. Prefer experienced circulator with OR, GI or PACU experience.

 

License Requirement: 

Valid Tennessee license. CPR required.

RN license
