Float Pool:

At Parkwest Medical Center, our nursing EIC Float Pool consists of an amazing team of nurses with a broad skill set that are trained to staff our Emergency Department, Intermediate Care Areas and Critical Care Department. These units include:

  • Emergency Department
  • Neuroscience / Medical Step Down Unit
  • Cardiothoracic Step Down Unit
  • Intensive Care Unit
  • Medical Intensive Care Unit
  • Coronary Intensive Care Unit

Our EIC Float Pool exists primarily to supplement staffing needs to each of these above units; however the EIC Float Pool nurses may be sent to others areas due to staffing needs.

We require at least one year of recent RN experience as a requirement to join our EIC Float Pool. As an incentive for the flexible nature of our positions, we offer an additional shift differential to all float pool employees.
