Parkwest Overview:

Since admitting our first patient in 1973, Parkwest has been at the vanguard of healthcare in East Tennessee. We are an eight-time Top 100 Heart Hospital and have received multiple awards for excellence in emergency care, clinical practice, and patient satisfaction. Learn more about our professional accolades.

Post Intervention Unit:

The Cardiac Specialty Unit consists of 33 telemetry beds. This unit treats patients presenting chest pain or unstable angina, as well as those recovering from placement of cardiac stents, permanent pacemakers, or AICDs. The top three admitting diagnoses are coronary atherosclerosis, chest pain, and intermediate coronary syndrome. We have long term staff members because of our culture and teamwork on our floor. The physicians see this as well and trust the judgment of our team. We have modified self-scheduling with a requirement of every other weekend and every other holiday. 3 days per week, 12-hour shifts.
