Non-Certified Nursing Assistant, Flex Pool
Full-time, 72 hours per pay period, Night shift

Job Objectives:
Under the direction of a Registered Nurse, assist nursing care team members with the delivery and accomplishment of patient/care services. Will float to all hospital units.

Education/Knowledge/Skills:
Must have a high school diploma or an equivalent certificate (GED). Must have successfully completed a hospital-approved formal training program or equivalent. Must be able to read with comprehension, write legibly, and perform basic arithmetic computations. Must have understanding and knowledge of patient care which may be appropriately delegated to nursing assistants. Must exhibit basic knowledge of setting up and maintaining traction. For staff involved in the care of age-specific groups, knowledge of the bio-psychosocial needs of adult, geriatric and pediatric patients is essential. Special knowledge is required in growth and development needs of pediatric/geriatric patients where applicable.
Experience:
Must have work experience as a nursing assistant or must have completed at least one semester of clinical and class work in an approved nursing program. Hospital experience preferred.
Licensure/Certifications:
Certification is not a requirement. CPR is required (if not currently certified, must be certified or recertified during the orientation period).
