Full Time, 72 Hours Per Pay Period, Night Shift

At Fort Sanders Regional Medical Center we understand that patients in our critical care area need specialized care – not only because they are very sick, but because their medical needs are unique.
In our critical care department, we have opened separate intensive care units – each designed to provide experienced nursing and support staff for each patient’s needs.
The Medical Intensive Care Unit at Fort Sanders Regional consist of 21 beds. Nurses on this units work to provide care for patients immediately after difficult surgeries, those patients with diagnosis of pneumonia, GI bleeding, and long-term ventilator patients.
As an RN in the Medical ICU unit, you will perform a variety of tasks such as Continuous renal replacement therapy (CRRT), rotoprone therapy for ARDS, management of shock and care for the complex medical surgical patient. In addition to having excellent critical thinking skills, our ideal candidate will also possess outstanding communication and interpersonal skills.

Position Summary:

Minimum Education: None specified; however, must be sufficient to meet the standards for achievement of the below indicated license and/or certification as required by the issuing authority.
Minimum Experience: Must possess at least one (1) year of professional nursing experience.
Licensure Requirement: Must have and maintain Tennessee State RN licensure. CPR required.
