The Cardiac Specialty Unit consists of 33 telemetry beds. The top three admitting diagnoses are coronary atherosclerosis, chest pain, and intermediate coronary syndrome. We have long term staff members because of our culture and teamwork on our floor. The physicians see this as well and trust the judgment of our team. We have modified self-scheduling with a requirement of every other weekend and every other holiday. 3 days per week, 12-hour shifts.
