Sr Behavioral Hlth:
This is a very energetic and team-oriented 16 bed unit. Fast paced, extremely rewarding and builds strong critical thinking skills working with complex, challenging patients. We have developed strong collaborative relationships, both inside and outside of our unit. Working closely with various groups such as physicians, families, respiratory therapists, physical and occupational therapists, and chaplains to meet the needs of our patients around the clock. We have a great team that takes pride in the environment they work in by keeping our unit clean, orderly and organized. We take pride in creating a safe environment for both patients and staff. Educational opportunities are always encouraged to develop best practice skills, strong knowledge base, and utilization of the best tools to address the complex needs of older adults.This unit creates a 6-week schedule. Team members work 3 days per week, 12 hour shifts, working two weekends a month.
Position Summary:
Functions as a direct patient caregiver performing tasks to assist registered nurses. Performs hands-on care, assistance with ADL’s and specified technical tasks for a group of patients under the supervision of the Team Leader.

Minimum Education: None specified; however, must be sufficient to meet the standards for achievement of the below indicated license and/or certification as required by the issuing authority.
Minimum Experience: Hospital experience preferred. Medical terminology a plus. Must be able to operate computer and possess excellent interpersonal skills. Must be able to read with comprehension, write legibly, and perform basic arithmetic computation. Must have understanding and knowledge of patient care which may be appropriately delegated to nursing assistants.
Licensure Requirement: Must have and maintain Tennessee State CNA certification. CPR required.
