IT Communications Support Analyst Sr.

Full-Time, 80 Hours per pay period, Day Shift

Position Summary:

Under general supervision, responsible for monitoring, administering, and troubleshooting the telecommunications network and working with end users and other IT support groups to provide consistent, high quality voice communication. 

Responsibilities

  • Under general direction, responsibilities include monitoring and troubleshooting for all paging and cellular equipment, order equipment, prepare, maintain and reconcile all billing reports, update internal online paging database, prepare corporate phone and voicemail directories, update all employee information in internal database and produce monthly Telecom invoices for all users including billing/chargeback responsibilities. 
  • Support day-to-day operation and maintenance of Telephone circuits, voicemail sub accounts, long distance access codes and local and long distance services. 
  • Provides customer training of the telecommunications features and functionality.
  • Filter tickets, work orders and requests and escalate all others as appropriate. 
  • Assist junior staff, take escalation calls where appropriate, and/or refer to a field-based telecommunication analyst or engineer for resolution.Assist staff and senior level employees with IT projects for facilities as requested.
  • Provide leadership and project management with support analysis and vendors.
  • Develop bid specifications for telecommunication systems, equipment, and/or network, evaluates bids, negotiates and administers contracts
  • .Reviews, analyzes, evaluates and maintains an organization's telecommunication system.
  • Local travel required.
  • Other duties/projects as assigned.

Qualifications

Minimum Education:    None specified; will accept any combination of formal education and/or prior work experience sufficient to demonstrate possession of the knowledge, skill and ability needed to perform the essential tasks of the job, typically such as would be equivalent to a high school diploma or GED.  Preference may be given to individuals possessing an Associate’s degree in a directly-related field from an accredited college or university.

 

Minimum Experience:    Minimum of five (5) years voice/data communications administration experience required. 

 

Licensure Requirement:   Employee must have a valid Tennessee driver’s license Class D and state mandated minimum insurance coverage.  Driving record must meet Covenant Health minimum standards at the date of hire and throughout employment tenure.
