Cardiology Unit:

This is a Cardiac Telemetry unit that cares for cardiac, pulmonary and renal patients; ranging from cardiac drips, various forms of oxygen delivery methods including stable tracheostomy patients (no ventilator patients) and hemodialysis/peritoneal dialysis patients. Earlier this year we moved into our new, larger department, increasing our capacity. The population on the unit is highly varied from self-care patients requiring a work-up on an inpatient unit to total care patients. A majority of our patients have at least 2 co-morbidities. The average length of stay is 4 days, some are admitted for less than 24 hours and some will stay with us for 2+ weeks. You will experience, learn and grow in your clinical skills on this unit!!
