Professional Services:
Medical assistants work closely with our Family Practice physicians to complete necessary clinical and procedural tasks. These include coordinating patient visits, providing assistance to the physician during assessments/treatments, ensuring appropriate charges are entered, and completing necessary medical record documentation. The medical assistants are essential members of our Family Practice team.
Position Summary:
Provide mental health services to patients under the supervision of a physician preceptor, following established medical protocols. Provides psychiatric evaluations, psychotherapy, and medication management to patients; under such protocols and policies set by facility or required to meet regulations.
Weekend coverage for psych consults.
Minimum Education:
None specified; however, must be sufficient to meet the standards for achievement of the below indicated license and/or certification as required by the issuing authority.

Licensure Requirements:
Must have and maintain certification by American Nurses Association or American Academy of Nurse Practitioners as a Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner. Must meet the state’s requirements as an Advanced Practice Nurse/ Nurse Practitioner (Certificate of Fitness from Board of Nursing, for writing prescriptions), and have DEA number. CPR required.
