RN Shift Leader
FT (Full time), 76 hours per 2 week pay period
The Emergency Department is a 24-bed, newly-constructed unit. Our department sees approximately 32,000 patients per year. Our staff members include RNs, LPNs/Techs, and HUCs. We are team-oriented and work at a lively pace. Customer Satisfaction is a high priority. The patients we care for typically have medical emergencies and acute care illnesses with occasional trauma.
This position is designed to provide supervisory leadership to staff level employees, coordinating such activities with the department's Manager. The incumbent is expected to exercise independent judgement and discretion in performing their duties.
This position will be utilized as an ED Education Instructor - to continue staff education pertinent to the ED, orientation of new staff, provide clinical support during high volume days and as needed, responsible for ED Skills Day, serve as an instructor for TNCC, ENPC, ACLS, PALS, BLS and CPI.
Minimum Experience: Three (3) years professional experience.
Minimum Education: Graduate school of nursing with diploma, ADN, BSN, or MSN
Licensure Requirements: Valid license in the State of Tennessee. Must be certified in TNCC, ENPC, ACLS, PALS, BLS and CPI.
