In addition to dispensing, checking, order entry, and technician supervision.. the candidate needs to be very comfortable with TPN's, antibiotic selection and de-escalation, physician interaction, renal dosing, pain management, Coumadin dosing and monitoring, multi-disciplinary rounds, patient teaching and kinetics. The candidate must have excellent communication skills and understand the needs of our patients.
Pharm.D, and hospital experience required. Excellent verbal communication is required. You must possess a heart for our patients and be willing to educate them as part of your job.
Job description (expectations): Staffing the pharmacy, checking medications, order entry, some clinical activities as part of the staffing process. Every 3rd or 4th weekend required. The pharmacy is closed during the early evening and at night.
Licensure Requirement: Must be licensed as a pharmacist in the state of Tennessee or eligible.
