Position Summary:

 

The Covenant Health Digital Content Associate will serve as a critical resource responsible for managing content on Covenant Health corporate and affiliate websites. This key role will create, edit and publish content requests for the health system’s web properties, which include an intranet and 69 external websites with 4,700 pages and more than six million pageviews annually.

Responsibilities

Position Accountabilities and Performance Criteria:

  • Executes editorial and graphic web content, including the creation and revision of new and existing webpages.
  • Applies SEO best practices to all published content, staying current on search engine algorithms, and applying emerging methodologies to the organization’s ongoing digital content strategy.
  • Develops standards, processes, and best practices for content creation, distribution, repurpose, maintenance, and retrieval.
  • Performs monthly site audits to add, update, and remove written and graphic content.
  • Serves as a digital brand steward by upholding Covenant Health branding standards through the quality and accuracy of content and images.
  • Maintains a consistent brand voice and tone for all digital content.
  • Troubleshoots and resolves web content formatting and technical issues.
  • Provides web team technical support as needed.
  • Ability to manage multiple requests and competing priorities under tight deadlines while consistently delivering high-quality results.
  • Ability to utilize creative thinking and innovation in problem solving.
  • Follows policies, procedures, and safety standards. Completes required education assignments annually. Works toward achieving goals and objectives, and participates in quality improvement initiatives as requested.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

Position Qualifications:

 

Minimum Education: Bachelor’s degree required

 

Minimum Experience: Three (3) years of professional experience in digital content marketing. Hands-on experience creating content in WordPress or equivalent content management platforms, with a thorough understanding of functionality and expected behaviors. Understanding of SEO best practices and general web design principles, including UI/UX concepts. Working knowledge of HTML and CSS. Experience with digital analytics concepts, including Google Analytics and report generation and with ADA and Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG). Proficient in Microsoft Office.
