    Sr Application Analyst-Cerner Inpatient Nursing and Therapies

    Full time; Day shift

     

    Position Summary:

    This position is for our Inpatient Nursing and Ancillaries team and will support our nursing and therapies (PT, OT, SLP, and RT) users across our hospital facilities that are live on the Cerner EMR. Work experience in a hospital/clinical setting and experience with the Cerner application (especially in an immediate clinical user support role) is preferred. On-call support is required. Under general direction, candidate would be responsible for defining, implementing, and supporting the Cerner application and relevant bolt-on or integrated solutions, as well as interfacing with end-users and other IT groups to identify and resolve application issues.

     

    Cerner experience with Workflow creation and edits; DTA management; Event Set Hierarchy; PowerChart, PowerOrders, and PowerForms build and maintenance; Iview; Mpages; and CareAware BMDI, each a plus.

     

     

    Minimum Education:

    AS in computer-related field or equivalent combination of education and experience 

     

    Minimum Experience:

    Minimum of six (6) years Information Systems or relevant functional area. Requires demonstrated deep understanding of technical computer operations in a client/server environment (for assigned applications). 

    Two (2) years of IT project management experience.

    Experience as an Clinical Application Analyst with Cerner's EHR a plus.

     

    Licensure Requirement:

    Professional/clinical licensure (RN, ARRT, etc.) may be required based on assigned applications.

    Active clinical licensure is a plus.
