Infection Control Practitioner
Full-time, 80 hours per pay period, Days
Position Summary: Plans, implements and evaluates the hospital infection control and employee health program, and supervises the employee health program.
Minimum Education: None specified; however, must be sufficient to meet the standards for achievement of the below indicated license and/or certification as required by the issuing authority.
Minimum Experience: A minimum of two (2) years' clinical experience is required with previous experience in infection control preferred. For staff involved in the care of age-specific groups, knowledge of the bio-psychosocial needs of adult, geriatric and pediatric patients is essential. Special knowledge is required in growth and development needs of pediatric/geriatric patients where applicable.
Licensure Requirement: If employee in this position is an RN, must be currently licensed by the Tennessee State Board of Nursing. If employee is a medical technologist, must maintain current registration with the American Society of Clinical Pathologists.
