    Responsibilities

     

    Job Duties:  Accountable for the delivery of high quality nursing care and for the administrative management of the clinical and support staff.  Fulfills all duties and responsibilities associated with the Nurse Manager position. Accountable for the principles of excellence and modeling and holding others accountable to Covenant Health’s Standards and Behaviors.  Directs and performs orientation appropriate to all new patient care employees and re-orients and educates current employees to changes in policies and procedures and federal and state guidelines and regulations regarding care and documentation.  Prepares, directs, schedules, and provides education and instruction on topics pertinent to health care, new procedures and high-tech operations.  Develops and revises printed forms for documentation to meet standards and improve time management.  Prepares new policies and procedures along with revising existing policies and procedures.  Works effectively with peer groups; leaders of the various corporate support functions such as finance, human resources, marketing, physician services, planning, clinical effectiveness, etc.; physicians and physician leaders both at the facility and corporate levels; and with various other internal and external stakeholders

    Qualifications

    REQUIRED: Graduate of accredited nursing program; possession of a bachelor's degree in nursing or a related field.


    Three (3) years of recent clinical hospital experience. Two (2) years of leadership/managerial experience preferred.
