Clinical Nurse II- Critical Care Unit
PRN/OCC, 72 Hours Minimum Per Quarter, Night Shift (One weekend shift per six week schedule required)
Critical Care Department a 30 bed unit composed of an 8 bed Neuro Intensive Care Unit (NICU), 8 bed Medical Surgical ICU (MSICU) and a 14 bed Intermediate Care Unit (IMC). Ft Sanders is a Comprehensive Stroke Center and a Regional Referral Center that offers many full service lines to care for all East Tennessean needs with a 1:2 nurse-patient ratio. Fort Sanders offers an Intermediate Care Unit that is a fast-paced unit caring for a variety of medical patients that do not require critical care, but still require closer observation, with a 1:3 nurse-patient ratio.
Position Summary: Provides professional nursing care within an assigned unit; coordinates care planning with other disciplines. Will float to ED as needed.
Minimum Education: None specified; however, must be sufficient to meet the standards for achievement of the below indicated license and/or certification as required by the issuing authority.
Minimum Experience: Minimum of at least one (1) year professional nursing experience.
Licensure Requirement: Valid Tennessee RN license. Yearly infection control, fire, safety and CPR in-services are required
