Clinical Nurse I- Nephrology Unit
Full Time, 72 Hours Per Pay Period, Night Shift - 7:30 PM - 7:30 AM. Every 3rd weekend. Rotating holidays.
Nephrology Department (3 West): is a 17 bed telemetry unit serving a wide variety of medical patients with a primary population of those with acute or chronic renal failure, diabetes and cardiac issues. Our nurses receive special training in peritoneal dialysis and select cardiac drips. Our mission is to provide excellent patient centered care while in the hospital and prepare our patients and families for care after discharge. The nephrology staff includes RNs, LPNs, CNA/PCAs, and HUCs. Our physicians are a collaborative and supportive part of the team in Nephrology.
Position Summary: Provides professional nursing care within an assigned unit; coordinates care planning with other disciplines.
Minimum Education: None specified; however, must be sufficient to meet the standards for achievement of the below indicated license and/or certification as required by the issuing authority.
Minimum Experience: New graduate, within first (1st) year of orientation (move to level II after one (1) year experience).
Licensure Requirement: Valid Tennessee RN license. Yearly infection control, fire, safety and CPR in-services are required
