    Recruits qualified physicians for Covenant Health affiliates and private practice groups.  Develops strategies for attracting proper mix of medical practitioners and/or specialists.  Coordinates all aspects of physician recruitment to ensure adequate complement of physicians in accordance with needs and goals of the office of Physician Services and in concert with the system’s Physician Recruitment Strategic Plan. 

     

     Must be able to have flexible work schedule and reliable transportation.

    Responsibilities

    • Plans and coordinates all aspects of physician recruitment for Physician Services, Covenant Medical Group, Covenant Health facilities, and various private groups.
    • Confer with EVP Physician Enterprise & VP Physician Services, facility CAOs, and VP Covenant Medical Group to identify, assess, and prioritize system-wide physician recruitment needs.
    • Meet and communicate regularly with private group physicians and office managers to discuss recruitment process, opportunity profile, and to provide updates on recruitment searches.
    • Develop and execute internal strategies for identifying physician candidates, which includes developing and placing journal advertisements, placing job postings on sourcing databases, and identifying and attending appropriate job fairs. Determines which candidates to pursue using information available.  Must determine physician fit and Covenant needs.
    • Plan, coordinate, and execute all aspects of visit/ interview for qualified physician candidates including, but not limited to, scheduling appointments with appropriate Covenant Health executives and/or physicians, scheduling community tours with realtor, making arrangements for airfare, hotel accommodations, rental car, dinner reservations, etc. as needed/ requested.

    Qualifications

    Four (4) year Bachelors Degree or Associates Degree with equivalent experience in health–related field required. Three (3) years experience in physician recruitment preferred.
