The EMT is a public safety professional that responds to medical emergencies in pre-hospital settings. Upon arrival, the EMT performs triage, initial survey, provides emergency care through careful assessment of the patient and recognizes injuries and illnesses. The EMT shall also gain knowledge of pre-existing medical conditions, previous medications, medical preference and identification of the patient.
Render necessary emergency care through supportive assistance for conditions requiring transport for definitive medical care including medical emergencies, behavioral emergencies, illness, disease or infirmity.
Current TN license as required to perform the duties of an EMT in the State of Tennessee. CPR Certification required. Physical Type: G
