Full Time, 72 hours per pay period, Day Shift
Position Summary: Facilitates patient care by assisting physicians and nursing staff before, during, and after endoscopic procedures. Under supervision, competently performs, assigned cases in a given service/shift; may participate in difficult or complicated cases with assistance; assists in competently performing endoscope re-processing.
Minimum Education: None specified; however, must be sufficient to meet the standards for achievement of the below indicated license and/or certification as required by the issuing authority. Must complete module 1 of the SGNA Associates Program within 3 months from the date the individual moved into the classification.
Minimum Experience: Experience in a healthcare setting, with one year of GI experience preferred.
Licensure Requirement: Certified surgery tech or SGNA GI Technical Specialist certification must be obtained within 18 months or CBSPD GI Endoscope Certification within 18
months. CPR required.
