Shift Lead Registered Nurse Emergency Department
Full Time, 72 Hours Per Pay Period, Night Shift 7p-7a
We are a fast-paced 12-bed ED with growing volumes. Team members include Shift Leader's, RNs, HUCs and ED Techs.
Position Summary: This position is designed to provide supervisory leadership to staff level employees, coordinating such activities with the department’s Manager. The incumbent is expected to exercise independent judgement and discretion in performing the duties listed below. Must have positive attitude and be patient focused. Ability to multi-task and care for a variety of patients - adults, pediatrics, and the occasional trauma patient. Deliver professional nursing care to a variety of patients with the ability to complete triage and assessment on these patients. Need to be able to perform EKGs, blood draws for labs and cultures, and titrate drips when necessary.assiona
Minimum Education: None specified; however, must be sufficient to meet the standards for achievement of the below indicated license and/or certification as required by the issuing authority. (Graduate of accredited school of nursing with diploma, ADN, BSN or MSN).
Minimum Experience: Minimum of three (3) years professional experience, leadership experience preferred. Must have ED experience.
Licensure Requirement: Valid license in the State of Tennessee. Yearly infection control, fire, safety, and CPR in-services are required. ACLS, PALS and BLS required.
