Clinical Nurse I- Postpartum
Full Time, 72 Hours Per Pay Period, Night Shift (On call required, every other weekend and rotating holidays)
Fort Sanders Regional Medical Center believes in being a well-rounded nurse and we offer our new graduates classroom and 16 weeks of on-unit training with a preceptor. Covenant Health offers a Nurse Residency Program to new graduates to provide support during the first year as a new nurse. In addition, we encourage hospital and unit-based Shared Governance participation to challenge nurses to utilize evidence-based practice at the bedside. OCN Certification available to all RN’s.
Position Summary: Provides professional nursing care within an assigned unit; coordinates care planning with other disciplines. Communication is key for this position. Teaching new mothers about caring for themselves and working along side nursery nurse to collaborate care for both mom and baby. Also care for GYN and female med surg patients.
Minimum Education: New graduate, within first (1st) year of orientation (move to level II after one (1) year experience.
Licensure Requirement: Valid Tennessee RN license, Fire, safety/security, infection control and CPR are required.
