Interventional Radiology RN I- DSA Special Procedures
PRN/OCC, Shifts vary as needed, Day Shift
Position Summary: Provides nursing services to Interventional Radiology (IVR) Lab patients in accordance with established nursing standards and practices; sets-up hemodynamic transducers and electrical amplifiers; records and obtains hemodynamic and angiographic data; assesses patient during invasive interventional and delivers therapy/moderate (conscious) sedation as required. Coordinates patient care with other health care professionals.
Minimum Education: None specified; however, must be sufficient to meet the standards for achievement of the below indicated license and/or certification as required by the issuing authority.
Minimum Experience: Minimum of three (3) years of professional nursing experience and/or at least two (2) years of critical care experience in arrhythmia and hemodynamic monitoring of patients in an acute-care setting; knowledge of electronic monitoring devices. Prefer at least one (1) year of previous experience in IVR/Cath Lab. May have up to three (3) years of professional experience in IVR/Cath Lab.
Licensure Requirement: Valid RN license with State of TN; ACLS certification required. Must obtain NIH Stroke Certification within 60 days of employment date.
