Clinical Nurse III, Labor and Delivery
Full-Time, 72 hours per pay period, Days
Position Summary: Provides professional patient-centered nursing care in the Labor & Delivery, Post-Partum and Newborn Care setting. Provides assessment and planning for individualized patient care. Communicates effectively with Physicians, Manager, Charge Nurse and co-workers, as appropriate, about changes in patient's clinical condition including results of diagnostic studies & symptomatology. Responds quickly & accurately to changes in patient condition and response to treatment. Performs general nursing duties, in all departments, with adequate supervision as assigned. Ensures excellence in every patient encounter.
Minimum Education:None specified; however, must be sufficient to meet the standards for achievement of the below indicated license and/or certification as required by the issuing authority
Minimum Experience: Minimum three years professional experience, to include minimum one year L&D experience.
Continuing Education: 20 hours required annually (10 to enhance clinical expertise); or 15 hours required annually, plus ACLS certification; or 10 hours required annually, plus specialty certification; or 10 hours required annually plus ACLS instructor.
Licensure requirement: Valid Tennessee RN License. Yearly infection control, fire, safety and CPR in-services are required
