Clinical Nurse I- Neuroscience
Full time, 72 Hours Per Pay Period Night shift 7:30pm - 7am, Every other weekend required, Some minor and major holidays required.
Neuroscience is a 35-bed (private rooms) unit consisting of neurological disorders, including patients undergoing neurosurgical interventions and/or procedures. We participate in team nursing with the RN as Team Leader. Our staff members include RNs, LPNs, CNA/PCAs, and HUCs. We have a supportive environment and an orientation tailored to your needs. We are a Joint Commission Certified Primary Stroke Center.
Fort Sanders Regional Medical Center believes in being a well-rounded nurse and we offer our new graduates classroom and 14 weeks of on-unit training with a preceptor. Covenant Health offers a Nurse Residency Program to new graduates to provide support during the first year as a new nurse. In addition, we encourage hospital and unit-based Shared Governance participation to challenge nurses to utilize evidence-based practice at the bedside.
Position Summary: Provides professional nursing care within an assigned unit; coordinates care planning with other disciplines.
Minimum Experience: New graduate, within first (1st) year of orientation (move to level II after one (1) Year experience).
Licensure Requirement: Valid Tennessee RN license. Fire/security, infection control, and CPR inservices are required.
