Clinical Nurse III, DSA Specl Procedures

PRN/OCC, Shifts vary as needed - NO CALL!

Position Summary: Provides professional nursing care within an assigned unit; coordinates care planning with other disciplines.

ICU, ER, Surgery or Float Pool RNs make a great fit for this dynamic role, which involves holding (pre- and post-op, IV accesses, phone calls, misc assistance across division, ie- difficult sticks, etc.) and interventional (administer conscious sedation meds, patient monitoring during procedures) work.

In this role, our nurses care for the patients who undergo diagnostic or interventional procedures within the imaging division. Their primary focus is monitoring the patient during procedures or delivery of pre/post care. Radiology nursing requires a high level of technical expertise and teamwork skills to be successful, with a well-established and tenured team to support a new hire. A majority of the procedural patients are in Interventional Radiology, Diagnostic Radiology, and CT, so most nursing interaction will be with the teams from those departments. We also have an excellent relationship with our radiologist group, who we work alongside every day. We staff 3 or 4 nurses Monday through Friday, rotating assignments, with the full time nurses taking call on nights and weekends. PRNs are welcome to pick up call too but not required. Our staffing schedule is currently well balanced so this position is true PRN, picking up vacant shifts from CTO and/or call ins. An experienced RN is welcome to pick up in other departments if they have open shifts, offering an excellent opportunity for someone who is very flexible.
