Supervisor - Radiology, Radiology Diagnostic

Full-Time, 80 hours per pay period, Variable shift hours - Second shift supervisor position. Rotating call in the Ultrasound Department, and rotating Supervisor call on the weekends

 

Position Summary: Coordinates daily work flow for special procedure area.

 

Minimum Education: None specified; however, must be sufficient to meet the standards for achievement of the below indicated license and/or certification as required by the issuing authority.

 

Minimum Experience: A minimum of three (3) years' experience in an imaging department and three (3) years of clinical experience in an advanced modality such as Ultrasound, CT, MRI, Nuclear Medicine, or Interventional Radiology if primarily assigned to supervise a specific specialized cost center within the Imaging umbrella of departments. Must have a thorough knowledge of the MMC medical imaging department's policies, procedures and equipment.  For staff involved in the care of age-specific groups, knowledge of the bio-psychosocial needs of adult, geriatric and pediatric patients is essential.  Special knowledge is required in growth and development needs of pediatric/geriatric patients where applicable

 

Prefer a multi-modality candidate who is registered in both Ultrasound and Radiography.

 

Licensure Requirements: Must be currently registered as a Radiologic technologist by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT).  If primarily supervising staff in a specialty modality, must have passed an advanced level exam in Ultrasound, CT, MRI, Nuclear Medicine, or Interventional Radiology.  Must be currently certified (or scheduled for certification or recertification training according to department guidelines) in cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR).
